Forums Hardware Updated

The transition to the mirrored machine went smoothly last night and our forums are up and running on the new machine. Thanks again Time2Die and Bad Mojo for the upgrades.

Web Site Fast / Forums Slow!

If you've noticed the forums are slow in responding, you're not alone. We're in the process of replacing the forums machine which has recently gotten bogged down with more hits than we expected with some brand spanking new hardware coming up on Monday.

Thanks to Bad Mojo for making sure we can get to the forums fast so we can get back in game!

Thanks also to my husband, Time2Die, for upgrading our Web Server. The pages for the GoV and Tristan Alliance sites are popping faster for me than they ever have before.

Mazzy and Profit GoV's Newest Level 50s!

Congratulations to Mazzy and Profit; Guardians of Valor's two newest Level 50s!

Last night started out as a planned "Mission Mazzy" night. We knew Mazzy was only 1.3 bubbles from hitting 50 and we were bound and determined to help her get it. A scheduled group by Mellye at the Finlaiths in Breifine was sure to do the trick.

After killing mob after mob Mazzy was getting close. Profit and I were pretty excited for Mazzy. She said she could just feel the imminent death approaching as the Finlaiths tried to get their last revenge in. However, Mazzy leveled without a hitch. Next was Profit. He still had 2.2 bubbles to go so we set in for a long night. At one point we ran into some deaths. Things were looking bad, but the group rallied and Profit got within .3 of leveling. Then, disaster, the group started to break. NO! Thanks to Grstaka, Deo and Mazzy for coming to our rescue in Brefine to help get Profit to level 50.

Congratulations Profit and Mazzy!

There have been MUCHO site updates lately with the influx of all the new members. Very cool.

Redrum and Seldarine join Guardians of Valor!!

Lots to report on from the Guild Meeting of April 22. First and foremost, please join me in welcoming the members of Redrum and Seldarine to GoV!! Many of them were present at the meeting to receive their promotions to Guardian Defender. There quit a lot, so I won't list them here, but as you see them please give them a big GoV Welcome!! (which means either give them a spanking or a muffin.)Congratulations!!

With the merger, we have added to out pool of sexy, and smart, officers. Please give these guys and gals a big GoV cheer the next time you see them. Congratulations to our newest Guardian Council Officers:

Most impressing at the meeting was the generous outpouring of contributions for seige weapons and keep door upgrades. All total, Pharaoh and Profit received 839 gold!! GoV Takes Bledmeer

Gamers Gauntlet

For those of you who didn't know, several of us attended a Raleigh area lan party this past weekend (Gamers Gauntlet). I saw a whole bunch of GoV members there including Pharaoh, Rheanae, Aetius, Meatwagon/Ezmo, Grimag, Shadowlight, Goreth and Rojo. We also ran into Canadianfire and few others who coincidentally play on Hibernia/Tristan! Although DAOC was not the game of choice for most, a few of us managed to squeeze in a few minutes of play time inbetween all the Quake 3, Medal of Honor, RTCW, UT, Tribes 2, Serious Sam 2, Ghost Recon and even a little Counterstrike (eek!). There will be pictures of the event up on the G2 website soon so keep an eye out.
