Inactive Characters Removed Tomorrow!

Per our announcement a month ago all inactive characters in a black state on the herald will be /gc autoremoved tomorrow. We have only removed characters in a black state we have heard nothing about from our members. If you need your character reinvited please ask an officer for an invitation.

Change in Recruitment

Due to our recent surge of new members the officers have decided to hold on accepting new members until October 7th. We don't want to grow too quickly and lose our feeling of family within the guild. Upon reopening for recruiting the minumum level for new members will be raised to level 30. We hope that these changes help GoV to grow and to be stronger without the associated pains of growing too quickly.

Two GoV members leveled their second characters to 50 tonight! And they did it in the same group! Sleestak (Tiberious) and Legros (Bondindent) both hit level 50. Congratulations!

Dredkin hits 50!

Congratulations to Dredkin on hitting level 50 this evening. He perservered through some bad lag in DF and going backwards at one point the Mythic gods were on his side and he made it. Look for an epic armor run sometime soon to help Dredkin get his armor. Congratulations Dredkin!

New Forums!

The forum migration was a success and they are now open! There are many new features that I think you will all find to be an exciting upgrade over the old forums. Private messaging, avatars, polls, stickies, announcements and more.

A few things to note: Read the announcement threads on either the Tristan Discussion or the General Discussion they have some very useful information.

Once again we'd like to apologize if you recieved multiple emails during the migration process. We caught a few snags and had to re-add a few of you to your respective groups.

Forums Migration - Tuesday September 24th

Great news! We're going to move off of this forums solution to a newer software package that will give us a lot more functionality. tForums, what we use now, is no longer in development. We're targeting a roll out of this new forums solution tomorrow night.

What this means:
- All forums, threads, posts, users and user permissions will be migrated to the new forums
- We'll get awesome new capabilities like Forum sticky, private member messaging, Polling threads, better read/unread thread tracking to name a few.

We will be taking down the forums for two to three hours tomrrow night to complete this migration.

Note: In our testing some members may have recieved email from Mojo@rps.net. This is one of our admins facilirating the migration. Sorry for the extraneous emails. Once we get the forums up you will recieve an email confirming your membership and access.

The user interface to the new forums is largely similar to what we have today. We're hopefully gaining new features and flexibility without sacraficing the simplicity of the forums interface.

One additional aside: We have a thread about access for Realm private discussions and a forum to facilitate that. Once we have moved forums we will be able to address this more easily. I'll be back with more information when I have it.

This is pretty exciting, can't wait!

Ponipuff has been working hard on his (well, her) tailoring. Inbetween tailoring items she's been trinketing her butt off to keep in the money to finally level to 1100. Congratulations to Ponipuff on making 1100!

Please help me in thanking Dredkin on offering to help with the GoV web site maintenance. Dredkin is looking through the site now and will be helping make all the updates that come through on a weekly basis. As an admin, he has access to the secret underpants pictures section. Be extra nice and maybe he'll share the link with you!

Wow, wow! Congratulations to Carling for reaching Legendary Grandmaster Weaponcrafter today. As many may know, weaponcrafting is the most difficult and costly craft to reach 1000 on. Thanks to all the GoV members who've supported Carling and congratulations to Carling who can now make all weapons in the game!

Congratulations Hibernia!

Congratultions to all of Hibernia on today's successful relic raid. Thanks to Joxor, Nilyra and their leadership team for excellent coordination of our forces.

Thanks to all the GoV folks who were able to make it. We did an awesome job as a guild in following Joxor's lead and were able to contribute significantly to the raid.

Of special note thanks to the following GoV people for helping coordinate our groups:
- Gobsmasha for organizing and manning the siege group
- Jackryan for coorindating and balancing the three plus groups of GoV members
- Cythraul for leading us straight to our rally points or objective locations
- Cynder for helping coordinate voice communication

Darcstar and Konolith hit L50!

Unbelieveable evening. First, my husband, Darcstar hit L50 on his Eldritch. I never thought he would get into DAoC more than Quake III CTF and have enough time away from managing his large CTF tournament http://ctfx.org to level a character to L50. However I have learned to never underestimate the fun of rolling a full mana eld!

Second, Konolith, one of my best friends and business associates has been able to finally tear himself away from Mech Warrior to level Konolith to 50! Konolith and I started the same week in DAoC and I'm so excited to announce he's level 50! In addition, Konolith's alt, Ponipuff hit 1000 Tailoring and Legendary Grandmaster Tailor. /salute to Konolith!
